Railway Signalling Hardware RFQ Checklist
Use this checklist before requesting a quotation for fabricated signalling enclosures, racks, route indicators, cable-protection products or related hardware.
1. Project and item identification
- Project, railway or metro authority and delivery location
- Item name, quantity and required delivery schedule
- Approved drawing number, revision and applicable specification
- Whether the requirement is supply-only or includes installation
2. Dimensions, material and finish
- Overall and interface dimensions with tolerances
- Material grade, thickness and required certificates
- Surface preparation, coating or galvanising requirement
- Environmental and corrosion conditions at the installation location
3. Electrical and mechanical interfaces
- Cable sizes, entry direction and gland or conduit interfaces
- Terminal quantities, ratings and internal equipment layout
- Mounting, foundation, fixing and earthing interfaces
- Doors, locks, seals, labels and supplied accessories
4. Inspection and documentation
- Inspection and test plan with hold or witness points
- Dimensional, material, coating and functional acceptance criteria
- Drawing and document approval process
- Test certificates, inspection records, packing list and warranty documents
5. Commercial boundary
- Taxes, freight, insurance and unloading responsibility
- Packing and preservation requirements
- Required spares, tools and loose accessories
- Quotation validity, payment terms and warranty period
